2012 Kitsap County Fair is Almost Here!

The Kitsap County Fair and Stampede will begin tomorrow Wednesday, August 22nd and run through Sunday, August 26th.

The Xtreme Bull Riding Competition kicks off the fair on Wednesday night at 7 pm.  Click here for ticket information.     

Country star Jerrod Neimann will be performing Thursday night at 9 pm.  Tickets are sill available and can be purchase by clicking here.

The weather should be nice through out the week so get out there and enjoy some classic Americana and hand-dipped corn dogs.

Open for the age groups of 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, and 8-10 years. Sheriff Boyer will start the hunt at 1:30 pm. We suggest you arrive early. There will be an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny as the 6000 eggs that he has hidden are hunted.

Strange Brewfest 2012

Looking to do something strange and fun this weekend?  Look no farther than the 8th annual Strange Brewfest in Port Townsend.  This event is hosting over 25 different breweries who will have their strangest flavors of beer on tap.

These special brew flavors range from "Strawberries & Creme" to "Ham on Rye".  There is something for everyone to try and enjoy! 

It's open January 27th (7 - 11 pm), the 28th (1 - 11 pm), and the 29th (1 - 6 pm).  Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the door.

Count Down to the Blackberry Festival!

The 22nd Annual Blackberry Festival will be held at the downtown Bremerton Waterfront starting this Saturday, September 3rd.  The festivities will run through Labor Day.

All three days will be filled with children's activities, live music, a wine and beer garden, and much more!  I'd recommend giving the delicious blackberry wine a try.  There also will be a fun run on Saturday morning for all you runners and walkers.

Say Goodbye to the Manette Bridge

This is the last weekend Bremerton residents will be able to drive across the 81 year old Manette Bridge.  On Sunday, Bremerton Mayor Patty Lent is holding a going away celebration for the bridge starting at 8 am.  There will be a classic car parade crossing along with a procession of walkers.  The bridge will be officially closed at 10 am.

The bridge will reopen to pedestrians and cyclists, by August 7th.  The new bridge is not scheduled to open until November.
